Key components of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Health Center include 10 primary care and dental centers and a 24/7 Clinic (Open Access Health Center), as well as an outpatient chemical abuse and rehabilitation program.
At its practice locations, such primary and specialty services as medical, dental, pediatrics, OB/GYN, ophthalmology, optometry, allergy treatment, nephrology, podiatry, gastroenterology, and dermatology are provided. Health Education and nutrition counseling are also offered.

History/Overview
More than forty years ago, a group of visionary physicians created a health center focused on the “social rehabilitation of a whole neighborhood, as a way to break the vicious cycle of poverty.”
Since its beginning, the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Health Center has strived and been successful in fulfilling its mission of responding to the health care needs of community residents, regardless of background or ability to pay.
