Our Diaspora Medical Practice is providing the medical and support services needed by the African community, from infants, children, and teenagers to adults and seniors.

Services Offered

— An expert team of board certified physicians, nurses, and support staff that is highly experienced in addressing the health problems of the African community. 

— Comprehensive primary and specialty care, including vaccinations and general examinations (physicals/checkups), as well as treatment of hypertension, diabetes, cardiac, gastroenterology (GI), and neurology problems, among numerous other acute and chronic conditions.

— Wide range of children’s health services, including urgent sick visits, physicals, school forms, and flu shots/routine vaccinations. All children are eligible for free health insurance coverage in New York State.

— Emotional support, counseling, and intervention, when necessary, through our mental health programs.

— Dental services for adults and children, as well as a special clinic for individuals traveling to or returning from Africa.

— A unique Healthy Start nutritional and educational initiative for adults and children, which includes counseling by social workers and dietitians.

— HIV testing and counseling, as well as educational services.

— Easy access to BronxCare’s wide range of specialty services at the inpatient and outpatient levels.
